Curse you Facebook

I blame facebook for my inability to reach the 2000 word count goal I’d set for myself for yesterday’s kick off of Nanowrimo (50,000 words in November).  Each time a notification went up as I was writing, my brain said ‘check it! check it! It might be IMPORTANT!’ When really it was more like people moaning about not reaching, or, more commonly, bragging about reaching their goals.  I’m looking at you R.J. Keller!

My husband would blame Twilight Tuesdays and the fact that I found in necessary to drive an hour and a half to have dinner with friends I hadn’t seen years in order to watch a movie I’d seen a zillion times.  Pish Posh.  That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO not the reason I didn’t make my word count.  It was all facebook.  So there.

It wasn’t like I didn’t get close to my goal.  I did.  I got 1500 out, which isn’t bad considering I also had a doctor appointment and a kid at home who wanted me to, like, pay attention to him and stuff.  Sheesh.  Kids today. So needy.

Anywho, today is a new day.  And I’m taking this word count down.  Run in fear facebook.  Run in fear.

need I say more?
