Sequel Update

Those of you who read my blog know that I’m currently working on the sequel to PULLED, cleverly entitled PULLED BACK (wicked original, huh?), but what you might not have realized is the torment I’ve been going through while writing said sequel.  You see, when I wrote Pulled, it was always going to be a one shot book.  It never even dawned on me that a sequel could be written, much less that people would DEMAND that I write one.  So after a few months of pestering, I started toying with the idea of how to continue the story.  (Not an easy task if you’ve read Pulled).

I began writing Pulled Back in October of 2011 (That’s only 4 months ago!  I’m not counting March cause I was sick all month, so there) and so far I’ve written 12 VERY ROUGH chapters.  I wish I knew how many chapters total it would be to give you an indication of how long I have to go, but to be honest, I don’t.  I’m not the sort of writer who can sit down and outline (I wish).  The moment I try to force my characters in one direction, they start a revolt and walk off the page. This is very frustrating.

So each day, as I sit down to write, I go in with absolutely NO IDEA of what will happen next.  Which leaves you, dear patient sequel readers, in a bit of a bind.  Even when this first draft is done, there will be MONTHS of editing and re-writes to do.

I truly wish the process could go faster because I want to know what happens to these characters just as much as you do.

In the meantime, I’ll try to humor you from time to time with witty posts here on my blog and pray that some of you may be around when Pulled Back finally goes to the printers.

Until then, thank you for all of your support and encouragement!

And don’t forget, you can still download a FREE e-copy of my book here thanks to the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award Site!
